Our Philosophy

The Accelerated Schools philosophy is founded on three core principles:

Unity of purpose – All members of the school community work together toward a common set of goals to benefit all students. It involves consensus by school staff, parents, and students on common goals, a search for strategies for reaching them, and accountability for results.

Empowerment with responsibility – Every member of the school community participates in a shared decision-making process to make key decisions in the school and home to implement change and be accountable for results.

Building on strengths - Students, teachers, staff and parents bring their own talents to the school community. The Accelerated Schools Process utilizes these strengths in addressing school needs and creating powerful learning opportunities.
