You see, we did not always understand or accept that it was our responsibility to our stakeholders to do everything for “the kids’ sake”. We had so many competing priorities and the usual issues of not enough resources to “do everything.” However, in 2005 after Accelerated School Process review pointed out a lot of our gaps, we began to look at what continuous improvement could mean for our school in reality without just “going through the motions.”
So, we will stop and thank the founders of the Accelerated Schools Process (ASP) for crafting a school improvement initiative that helped our school embrace the fact that we must always be “continuously improving” all of what we do so that our teachers and our “kids” can reach every higher expectation we can created for them to achieve.
